Please pray with us for 20 supporters at $15.00 a month. 

I’m happy to report that we are very close to raising our budget and returning to the field.  We only need 20 more churches or individuals that could help us with a $15.00 monthly pledge.  At the beginning of July, we began to pray for 100 supporters who would make a $15 monthly pledge to help us return to Mexico.  God was faithful throughout this month; many individuals and churches have responded to this request. We are now closer than ever to our goal.

Last week I had the privilege of visiting 3 churches in North Carolina. We were amazed at the response of churches and individuals who felt lead to help reach the indigenous people groups of Oaxaca, Mexico.  Twenty-nine new supporters responded during that trip.  Praise God! Will you take a moment to pray and consider being a part of this effort to reach the lost?  When we think of the thousands of villages in Oaxaca that have not heard the Gospel message, you can only do one of two things: you must be willing to go or be willing to send.  Thank you for your prayers and consideration. Estoy contento de informales que estamos muy cerca de levantar nuestro presupuesto para regresar al campo misionero.  Solo necesitamos 20 iglesias o personas que puedan ayudarnos con una promesa de 15.00 por mes.  En el principio del mes, estábamos orando por 100 apoyadores que hicieron una promesa mensual de $15.00 para ayudarnos regresar a Mexico.  Dios fue fiel; durante el mes de julio muchas iglesias e personas respondieron y ahora estamos casi a la meta. 

La semana pasada tuvimos el privilegio de predicar en tres iglesias en el Norte de Carolina. Nos quedamos asombrados de ver la respuesta de las iglesias y personas que sintieron el deseo de alcanzar a las etnias indígenas de Oaxaca, Mexico.  Vente-nueve nuevos apoyadores respondieron durante este viaje. ¡Gloria a Dios! Por favor tome un momento para orar y considerar uniéndose a este esfuerzo misionero. Cuando pensamos en los miles de pueblos que no han oído el evangelio solo podemos tener una de dos respuestas; tienes que estar dispuesto a ir o dispuesto a enviar.  Gracias por sus oraciones y consideración. I want to thank our Superintendent Dr. Sergio Navarete and our district men’s director Rev. Javier Munoz for their kind promotion of our ministry during our district men’s convention last week. With their help we were able to collect $300 dollars in monthly support.  We are thankful for the Godly men and pastors of our district who believe in taking the Gospel message to those who have not heard. 

We still have not reached the goal for financial clearance.  For this to happen we need 80 churches or individual who would be willing to make a $15.00 monthly pledge.  Please pray and consider making a monthly pledge.  Please become part of taking the Gospel message to over 4000 villages that have never heard.

Le quiero dar gracias a nuestro Superintendente Dr. Sergio Navarrete y el director de varones Rev. Javier Muñoz por su promoción de nuestro ministerio durante la última convención de varones.  Con la ayuda de ellos pudimos levantar $300 en apoyo mensual.  Le damos gracias a Dios por pastores y hombres de Dios en nuestro distrito que desean llevar el mensaje del evangelio a los que no han oído.

In our missions work God has granted us the privilege to work among the unreached people groups of Oaxaca, Mexico.  We have conducted medical outreaches through which we bring the gospel to many. We're also training up pastors at "CAPE," a national pilot program designed train indigenous pastors throughout Mexico. With your help together we’re fulfilling the great commission in Mexico.

Ayuda de Dios en Tiempo del Dolor

Mi tío Arcadio Cruz Jr. en sus últimos dias.

- English Translation in the following BLOG - En este blog quiero dar un agradecimiento especial a todos que han respondido a nuestra necesidad de oración.  Marzo 2 y 3 fueron días muy difíciles.  En estos días mi mama y mis primos me pidieron que condujera la funeraria de mi tío que se fue a estar con el Senior el 26 de febrero. Mi tío Arcadio Cruz Junior había estado en un acilo de ancianos por ocho años y en los últimos dos años, estuvo en un estado de demencia. Aunque su muerte no fue de sorpresa todavía fue muy difícil para nosotros.  Quisiera decir que la funeraria fue la parte más difícil de todo esto, pero durante el último servicio recibimos una llamada que mi abuela de 91 (Carmelita) tenía dolor en su pecho y estaba teniendo dificultad respirando.  Rápido mi padrastro Daniel salió de la funeraria para ver cómo estaba mi abuela pero mientras bajaba unas escaleras torció su pies y rompió un pequeño hueso en el lado de su pies.  Aunque estaba en dolor llegó a la casa y rápido llamó al 911 cuando vio la condición de abuela.  Como se pueden imaginar esta no era las noticias que queria oír cuando estaba tratando de limitar mi propio lamento por mi tío y conducir su entierro.  Inmediatamente después de decir unas últimas palabras y dirigir a todos en una oración, mi mama y yo nos fuimos rápido al hospital.  Durante todo este tiempo todo lo que podía orar era “por favor Señor, no podemos sufrir dos muertes en un día.”

Fue en estos momentos que el Señor empezó a trabajar, y nos mostró que Él todavía estaba en control de todo.  Mientras que mi mama y yo nos fuimos a estar al lado de mi abuela mi padrastro Daniel se quedó en la sala de espera con hielo sobre sus pies.  En su propio estado de dolor y lamentación comenzó hablar con un hombre que estaba al lado de él. Al terminar su plática el hombre le dijo a mi padrastro “yo quisiera recibir al Jesús como mi salvador.”  En este mismo segundo apareció el pastor de Daniel para saludarlos. Daniel rápido le dijo a sus pastor “este señor quiere recibir a Cristo. Puedes orar con él?” Otra persona Cristiana que estaba cerca vio todo lo que paso y se acercó a mi padrastro, y lo bendijo con palabas de ánimo y comenzó profetizar sobre él. Mientras escribo esto me quedó maravillado de cuan bueno es el señor con nosotros en nuestros tiempos de prueba.  Él mandó a dos extranjeros.  Uno que le permitió a Daniel el gozo de minístrale, y otro para consolarlo.  Todo esto pasó en frente de familia que se maravillaban al ver lo que Dios estaba haciendo en esta sala de espera.  En gran parte por sus oraciones, mi abuela y Daniel están recuperando.  Los dos son ejemplos de la gracia de Dios. 

Hebreos 4:15-16 nos dice “Porque no tenemos un sumo sacerdote incapaz de compadecerse de nuestras debilidades, sino uno que ha sido tentado en todo de la misma manera que nosotros, aunque sin pecado. Así que acerquémonos confiadamente al trono de la gracia para recibir misericordia y hallar la gracia que nos ayude en el momento que más la necesitemos.”  No importa cuán doloroso eran las pruebas; Jesús permaneció firme durante su misión aquí en la tierra.  Aun cuando estaba en la cruz encontró tiempo para dirigir a otro al paraíso.  Yo encuentro más y más que vivir en el renio de Dios significa que yo le debo de servir a Dios, no importa lo que esté pasando.  Y permitir que sus brazos me sostengan cuando las pruebas son muy fuertes.  La idea de servir un Dios tan bueno deber ser nuestro gozo máximo. Por favor, sigan orando por mi abuela (Carmelita) mis primos, mi mama y Daniel que todavía están en un tiempo de luto y sanidad.  

God's Help In Time of Pain

I want to say a special thank you to many of you who responded to our need for prayer support.  March 2^nd and 3^rd were especially difficult days.  On these dates my mother and cousins called upon me to conduct a funeral service for my uncle Arcadio Cruz Jr. who passed away on February 26^th.  My uncle had been in nursing home for eight years following a stroke, and had spent the last two years in a state of dementia.  Although his passing was not unexpected, it was still very hard on all of us.  I wish I could say that the funeral was the most difficult part of these two days. During the final service we received a phone call that my 91 year old grandmother was having chest pains and difficulty breathing.  My stepfather Daniel immediately left the funeral home to check on grandma, but on his way out he twisted his foot going down the stairs, breaking a small bone on the side of his foot.  Even though he was in pain, he made it home and immediately called 911 when he saw grandma’s condition.  During the burial we received the phone call that grandma was being rushed to the emergency room and that Daniel was limping in pain.  As you can imagine this was not the news I needed while trying to suppress my personal grief over my uncle’s loss and conduct his burial.  Immediately after saying some final words and leading everyone in a prayer, my mother and I jumped in a car and rushed to the hospital where we feared the worst.  During this drive all I could pray in my heart was “please, Lord, not grandma too. We can’t take two deaths in one day.”

It was at this time that the Lord began to break through, and show us that He was still God and in control of all things.  While my mom and I ran to be at grandma’s bedside, my stepfather Daniel stayed in the waiting room with ice on his foot.  In his own state of grief and pain, Daniel started talking to a man sitting next to him.  At the conclusion of their chat the man looked at Daniel and said “I would like to accept Christ as my savior.” At that very second Daniel’s pastor walks in to greet them, and Daniel said to his pastor “Can you pray with this man? He would like to accept Jesus into his heart.”  This whole scene was witnessed by another Christian in the waiting room who went to Daniel and began to minster words of encouragement and prophesy over him.  As I write this I’m simply overwhelmed by how good God is to us in our time of trial.  He sent two strangers. One who allowed Daniel the joy of ministering to him, and another to comfort and console him.  All this was happening in front of other family members who sat in awe of what God was doing in the waiting area of an emergency room. Because of your prayers, my grandmother and Daniel are recovering. They are both living examples of God amazing grace.

  

I’m reminded of what Hebrews 4:15-16 says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  No matter how intense his suffering or pain Jesus remained faithful in his mission during all his time here on Earth.  Even on the cross He still took time to help a loss person find paradise. I find more and more that living in God’s kingdom means that I serve Him no matter what I’m going on.  And when the trials seem overwhelming, I allow His loving embrace to carry me through.  It should be our highest joy to serve such a loving God.  Please continue praying for my grandmother (Carmelita), my cousins, my mom and Daniel. We are all still in the process of mourning and healing.

The Unreached

           In the last six months we’ve had the privilege of visiting many churches from California to Michigan.  Itineration is always a key time during which we get the opportunity to say thank you to many supporting churches and it’s a time to share with people why we raise money.

     Although raising money is challenging it’s something we try to do with all our heart. As long as there are unreached indigenous villages in Oaxaca we have a responsibility to do everything possible to reach them. As missionaries we has the great privilege of joining with many churches to make sure the great commission is fulfilled in Oaxaca, Mexico. For this reason we continue to ask for your prayer and financial support. 

     So please continue to pray for revival in the many unreached villages of Oaxaca.  If your church currently supports us, will you consider a $15.00 increase in your monthly support? To make a pledge or increase your current support please click on the following link.

      As many of you know, November is a busy month for our family.  From November 3rd to December 4th we all celebrate our birthdays.  We’d like to thank Pastor Jessie & Ruth Villareal and everybody at “Templo La Hermosa” for giving us one of the best family birthday parties we’ve ever had.
